World War 2 is probably the most defining period of the 20th century. This epic and global conflict shaped the course of history and the men and women who served. Many books have been written about World War 2, each telling the story from a different perspective. In this book, Donald Miller gives a broad and sweeping overview of the war punctuated by specific stories and accounts of campaigns, battles and individual acts that together shaped the course history. This is a fascinating book and well worth reading.
