The Pickett family is all back together again for a quiet and fun filled Thanksgiving until a mystery package is delivered to the library and a local fishing guide is discovered murdered. In this latest book from the Joe Pickett series, C.J. Box masterfully weaves multiple storylines and incorporates references to current events, history and geopolitics.
I have really enjoyed the Joe Pickett series by C.J. Box. He does a masterful job of researching his the background and setting for his and weaving this research into compell
ing storylines and painting a mental image for the reader. Over the course of the series, I have gotten to know Joe and his family as they experience the highs and lows of their life. My only disappointment with this book is that it ends and I have to wait until the next book comes out to reunite with the Picketts and life in Saddlestring.
