Book #14: Fear: Trump in the White House, Bob Woodward
Like it or not, Donald Trump is President and he has a radically different style of leadership than we are accustom to in recent decades. In this book, Bob Woodward attempts to paint a behind the scenes portrait of the first year of the Donald Trump Presidency. He shows the characters, comments and even arguments that culminated in the decisions that we saw highlighted above the fold. I found this book fascinating on several levels. It is an historical documentation of recent events. But more importantly, it is a work that made me think. I am personally sympathetic to the President. It is clear that Woodward is not. But he did raise some points that challenged my presuppositions regarding Donald Trump. Whether you agree Trump or not, I believe an honest and open-minded read of this book will be insightful.
