About
The excellent physician project is my attempt to be intentional about life. The title represents not a perception of accomplishment but the representation of an ideal or goal. We all have just one opportunity to use and enjoy the greatest gift that we have been given - life. My goal is to in accordance to properly aligned priorities, without regret and in fulfillment of my purpose; to live excellently.

Professionally, I am a board-certified Emergency Physician with a Focused Practice Designation in Emergency Ultrasonography.

I have a bachelor of science in Biology from Cedarville University. I attended medical school at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Health and Science. I completed my residency at the Case Western University/MetroHealth Medical Center/Cleveland Clinic Emergency Medicine residency program. After graduation I did a one year fellowship at MetroHealth in Emergency Sonography.

I work clinically at an urban, level 1 trauma center that serves as our region’s safety net hospital where I am a faculty physician in the emergency department. I hold an academic appointment as an associate professor at Case Western University School of Medicine.
In addition to my clinical practice, I lead our emergency ultrasound division and am actively involved in teaching ultrasound and producing educational content.

But more important than my professional identity, I am a husband and father. My wife and I have 5 kids. As a family we are actively involved in our church. We enjoy traveling and family adventures. Personally, I enjoy reading, weight training, hunting and working on various projects.
